PIXAR, also referred to as Pixar Animation Studios, is an American computer animation film studio based in Emeryville, California that is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. The studio has earned twenty-seven Academy Awards, seven Golden Globes and three Grammy Awards, along with many other awards and acknowledgements. Pixar produced its first feature-length film, Toy Story, in 1995. Their second production, A Bugâ€™s Life, was released in 1998 followed by Toy Story 2, in 1999. Since then, the company has released Monsters, Inc. (2001), Finding Nemo (2003), The Incredibles (2004), CARS (2006), Ratatouille (2007), WALL-E (2008), Up (2009), Toy Story 3 (2010), CARS 2 (2011), Brave (2012) and Monsters University (2013). The 2015 releases of Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur marked the first time Pixar released two films in one calendar year. Finding Dory was released in 2016.
